Central Fresno police action fails to find wanted suspect

FRESNO, California (KSEE/KGPE) – Officers continue to search for a wanted suspect after police action in central Fresno Tuesday failed to track down the man they were after, according to Fresno Police.

Streets were blocked on Dakota Avenue, near Henrietta Avenue, just after 11 a.m. when officers descended onto an apartment complex at 3393 E. Dakota. They discovered that the wanted suspect was not inside, but they did detain two men and a woman.

“Investigators are now trying to determine their involvement with this outstanding suspect,” said Lt. Mark Hudson. “They were taken out of the apartment.”

Lt. Hudson identified the wanted man as 21-year-old Joseph Raymond Rocha. Police say he was involved in a home invasion robbery on the 6300 block of N. Selland on August 16th along with another as-yet-unidentified suspect.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact the Fresno Police Department.
