Two men were arrested Thursday for allegedly shooting at an occupied U-Haul truck in Kings County.

At around 11 a.m., Kings County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area of Excelsior and 15th avenues regarding people in a white SUV shooting at others in a U-Haul truck.

Deputies and California Highway Patrol were able to catch up to the U-Haul and initiated a traffic stop.

California Highway Patrol continued to pursue the white SUV to the area of Avenue 404 and Road 74 in Tulare County where two subjects reportedly ran from the vehicle.

CHP officers engaged in a foot pursuit and were able to capture the two subjects, later identified as Sergio Ledesma, 25, and Aldo Vallejo, 23.

After the sheriff’s office obtained multiple statements, it was determined that Vallejo and Ledesma shot multiple rounds into the U-Haul truck occupated by two people in the area of Excelsior and 18th avenues.
