Sheriff: Lemoore councilwoman arrested for child endangerment, assaulting a peace officer

Crime

Lemoore councilwoman Holly Blair was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of several charges, including child endangerment.

Blair was pulled over in Lemoore around 2 p.m. while allegedly driving quickly in a parking lot. Police say she did this when a “LPD Chaplain was preparing to start his journey by traveling across the country meeting with other police agencies sharing information on the importance of mental health awareness in law enforcement.”

Officers shouted at Blair to stop, she refused and reportedly drove to the end of the parking lot and was getting closer to officers. She then drove near Cinnamon Drive and Lemoore Avenue, violating stop signs.

A child was seen in the back seat of the vehicle, police say.

Blair finally stopped and was arrested and booked at the Kings County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, evading a peace officer, reckless driving, child endangerment, and resisting arrest.

Her bail has been set at $195,000.
