Law enforcement in Kings County is still looking for owners of thousands of dollars worth of stolen equipment that was recovered in March.
On March 28, the Kings County Sheriff’s Rural Crimes Task Force, along with multiple other agencies, recovered the stolen property from a location on the outskirts of Hanford.
Some of the property has already been claimed, but the Sheriff’s Office still has possession of a lot of property and is trying to locate the owners of the items, the Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
The items include multiple types of power tools, a hydraulic pump, a winch, and a diesel generator.
Some of the items have identifying markings on them such as, “MYC”, “C-A”, “KPC 4-2”, and “BCT.”
The Sheriff’s Office said these items could have been taken from anywhere in the state, which is why it is difficult to track down the rightful owners.
Anyone who believes some of the property may be theirs is asked to contact Rural Crimes Detective B. Moore at 559-589-3629 or Detective C. Santos at 559-904-6893.
