Police: ‘Ruthless Thug Life’ gang member steals SUV out of central Fresno

FRESNO, California (KSEE/KGPE) – An alleged gang member out of Fresno is said to have stolen an SUV out of central Fresno, according to Fresno Police.

With the help of a helicopter, Jesse Escano, 21, a reported “Ruthless Thug Life” gang member, was reportedly seen driving a ’99 Chevrolet Suburban near Peach and Olive avenues. He began to walk away from the SUV, and that’s when detectives took him and his passenger into custody.

The passenger is a teenage boy, police say.

Escano was found to be on parole from a prior assault with a deadly weapon conviction.  He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of felony auto theft charges and parole violation.

The teen was booked into the Fresno County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of felony auto theft charges.
