A 15-year-old was stabbed at a skate park in Merced County, and police say he used Skype to get ahold of another person for help.

On Sunday around 10:30 p.m. Atwater Police Officers responded to the area of 100 block of Kelso Street to check on a teen who reported to another person they were stabbed via Skype, a video messaging app.

While searching for the victim, a nearby hospital called and said they had a victim and his father in the emergency room suffering from a stab wound.

The victim told police he had been stabbed inside the skate park at Osborn Park. Officers found a crime scene and conducted an initial investigation. They found the suspect allegedly attempted to rob the teen and his friend before the stabbing.

The suspect was identified as Moffat Teneng, 21, of Atwater. He was booked into the Merced County Jail on suspicion of attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
