Person of interest in Coalinga toddler shooting behind bars


COALINGA, California (KSEE/KGPE) – A person of interested has been identified in a shooting that put a 3-year-old in the hospital.

Nineteen-year-old Coalinga resident Joseph “Jose” Andrade Ramos was arrested on Wednesday. Officers identified him as a person of interest in Monday’s incident and tracked him to a motel in Avenal where he was taken into custody.

Police say he’s facing charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon using a firearm, shooting at an inhabited dwelling, gang affiliation and felony committed while out on bond.

He’s been booked into Fresno County Jail.
