One person injured in northwest Fresno shooting, police searching for suspects

Police are investigating a shooting that injured one person in northwest Fresno Thursday night.

It happened around 7:50 p.m. at Ashlan and Blythe avenues, according to Fresno Police Lt. Tim Tietjen. The condition of the victim is unknown, but left the scene in critical condition.

He says the suspects pulled up to the victim at a red light, shot at him several times, striking him.

The victim was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center.

Nearby surveillance footage from businesses will be reviewed, and officers are canvassing the area to determine what may have led up to the shooting.
