Merced cold case has $75,000 reward for information on double murder

Merced Police are looking for information in a 2006 cold case, and there’s a $75,000 reward.

On Oct. 1, 2006, Bill and Lena Chapman were murdered in their home on South Bear Creek Drive. The suspect(s) responsible then set fire to the Chapman’s home to destroy evidence of the crime, police said.

The Chapmans were long time residents of Merced.

There is a $75,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the whoever is responsible for the murders.
