TULARE COUNTY, California (KSEE/KGPE) – A man was sent to the hospital Thursday night after deputies say he was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting.

A 25-year-old man was shot around 7:30 p.m. at David Road and Ash Avenue when a drive-by shooter shot into his car, according to Sgt. Steve Sanchez with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.

He was shot multiple times, but a male passenger was not injured.

The victim was taken to a hospital in Tulare County, and his injuries are not life threatening.

Deputies are not releasing the motive and are unsure if it’s gang-related.

There is no suspect information, however Sanchez says the shooter was in a dark car.

Anyone with information and/or surveillance video can contact the sheriff’s office at 559-733-6218.
