A man was injured in a drive-by shooting in southwest Fresno on Thursday, the Fresno Police Department said.

Around 9:30 a.m., a black 4-door vehicle was driving west on the 1200 block of east George Avenue.

The vehicle stopped in front of a house, and the passenger got up through the sunroof and opened fire at a man standing in the front yard, police said.

The man was shot in the leg and armpit areas.

He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center. His injuries weren’t life-threatening, police said.

A nearby vehicle was also hit.
