VISALIA, California – A Lindsay man was found guilty Thursday of 41 counts of child molestation, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said Friday.
Aristeo Sampablo, 30, was convicted of six counts of sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 10, three counts of sodomy with a minor under the age of 10, one count of digital penetration of a minor under the age of 10, and 31 counts of lewd act upon a child under the age of 14.
The jury also affirmed the special allegation of substantial sexual conduct and that the crimes were committed against multiple victims.
Each count is a felony and considered strike offenses, the District Attorney’s Office said.
The crimes occurred between March 7, 2015 and May 23, 2017, against two girls between the ages of 6 and 10 at the time of the sexual assaults.
Sampablo is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 8.
He’s facing up to 790 years-to-life in prison.
Sampablo will also be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
