Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who robbed a check cashing business at gunpoint on Thursday, the Lemoore Police Department said.

Around 12:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to a check cashing business in the 800 block of north Lemoore about a robbery.

A suspect walked into the business and waited for other customers to leave the store, the Police Department said.

The man approached the clerk, showed her a handgun and told her it was a robbery, police said.

He demanded money, and the clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of money and left.

The suspect is believed to be in his 30s. He was wearing a black Raiders beanie, blue T-shirt with a white undershirt, and black jean shorts.

Anyone with information should call the Police Department at 559-924-9574 and ask for Cpl. Pescatore or Sgt. Santos.
