Lemoore City Councilwoman Holly Blair bailed out of Kings County Jail in Hanford. Her bail had been set at $195,000.
Blair was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly driving into a parking lot at the Lemoore Police Department, driving recklessly and exhibiting excessive speed.
She drove out of the parking area and was pursued by officers in a high speed chase. Blair eventually pulled over, but refused to obey officers commands to exit the vehicle. Investigators say her son and her dog were with her at the time of the arrest.
During a press conference Wednesday night Lemoore’s Police Chief described her behavior as “bizarre,” and said when officers tried to take her into custody, she made her body limp as a form of “passive resistance.”
The Lemoore City Council has not issued a statement on Blair’s arrest.
