Large police presence in southeast Fresno neighborhood after a reported shooting


FRESNO, California – A heavy police presence is in a southeast Fresno neighborhood after a report of shots fired Saturday night.

A ShotSpotter alert came in around 5:40 p.m. at Fillmore and Dearing avenues. A couple people were reported to have been seen running away from the alleged shooting.

By 6 p.m., Fresno Police officers had a home in the area surrounded with a helicopter flying above.

Officers are demanding people come out of the home, but negotiations aren’t working.
