He threatened to kill his mom, then deputies say he tried to escape via the roof

VISALIA, California (KSEE/KGPE) – A 56-year-old man has been arrested after Tulare County Sheriff’s Office says he threatened to kill his mother and burn down her house.

The incident began Monday evening and continued into Tuesday morning. Deputies were called out to the home near the intersection of Road 124 and Avenue 324 outside Visalia. They arrived at around 8:20 a.m. and deputies say the suspect, 56-year-old Enrique Carreon, had already fled on foot. The sheriff’s office says he was found on the roof of his mother’s home.

Carreon was taken from the scene and booked into the Adult Pre-Trial Facility on a charge of criminal threats.
