He broke into a Clovis home and burglarized it, police say. It was caught on video

Crime

A 20-year-old man is seen on video obtained by the Clovis Police Department burglarizing a home Tuesday.

Clovis Police responded to a residence near Clovis and Dakota avenues just after 10:30 a.m. for reports of a burglary, a news release says.

The resident reported hearing sounds of someone breaking into the home and taking property, police say.

Officers responded and arrived at the home within minutes, however the suspect had left prior to their arrival.

That’s when detectives began their investigation.

Using video evidence at the resident’s home, detectives identified the suspect as 20-year-old Miguel Hernandez of Fresno.

Detectives located and arrested Hernandez and he was booked County Jail on suspicion of residential burglary.
