Hanford man accused of sexually assaulting woman and underage girl, police say

A gang member in Hanford was arrested after police say he sexually assaulted a woman and an underage girl.

On Sunday around 12:30 p.m., officers were dispatched on a call of a possible rape and child molestation.

The 32-year-old victim said the suspect, identified as Matthew Cabello, 27, asked her if he could stay the night because he had nowhere to go.

Police say Cabello forced himself on the victim.

During the investigation, police learned of a 15-year-old victim had been assaulted as well, Haford Police said.

Cabello was arrested on charges of rape, lewd acts with a child under 15, and sodomy by force or violence, police said. He was booked into the Kings County Jail.
