Gang member arrested on gun related charges inside Club One Casino

A man was arrested on gun charges inside Club One Casino in downtown Fresno. 

Fresno police officers were dispatched to the casino around 2:40 a.m. on  Friday, March 8th regarding a man acting strange inside the lobby.

According to police the man was making statements that someone was outside trying to harm him; the individual also stated he was armed.

Officers arrived on scene within seconds of the call and located the man, identified as Benjamin Yang of North Carolina, inside the gift shop of the casino.

When contacted by officers, Yang told them he had a gun on his hip. 

Yang was taken into custody without incident and charged with several weapon related charges.

Police say Yang admitted to being an Asian Crip gang member from North Carolina.

The Fresno Police Department would like to remind the public that Crime Stoppers has enhanced the rewards for information leading to the arrest of gang members who are involved in narcotic sales, firearm possession, and human trafficking.

If a gang member is arrested for possessing a handgun, the reward is $2,000. If a gang member is arrested for possessing an assault rifle, the reward is $3,000. If a gang member is arrested for human trafficking, the reward is $3,000. And if a gang member is involved in drug sales, the reward is $1,000.
