Fresno Police respond to armed disturbance, sending 2 officers to the hospital


FRESNO, California – Two officers were sent to the hospital after responding to an armed disturbance in Fresno Sunday afternoon.

Police responded to an armed disturbance at Tyler Avenue and Clark Street around 1:45 p.m. for reports of a man with a knife.

They found him and attempted to take him into custody when he reportedly began to struggle with officers.

It’s unknown the extent of the injuries, but two officers were taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The suspect was also taken to the hospital.

He’s facing charges related to resisting arrest.
