Fresno PD: Three men and a teen caught with several guns. They’re gang members, felons

FRESNO, California – Three men and a teen were arrested Saturday night after allegedly brandishing guns in southwest Fresno.

Just after 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of North Valeria Street for reports of a brandishing, as well as aiming a gun at a woman sitting on the stairs of her apartment.

Upon arrival, officers set up a perimeter around the apartment complex, but then saw the suspects running away.

They were all detained, police say. The men are as identified as Dustin Garcia, 25; Israel Yanez, 29; Alfonso Hernandez, 23 and a 17 year-old juvenile male.

All three adult males were found to be convicted felons, police say, and all four are self-admitted Bulldog gang members.

A duffel bag was found in an alleyway that was thrown over the fence and landed in a lawn maintenance trailer. Police say the bag had two loaded weapons, a sawed off 12 gauge shot gun and a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol.

All three males were arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of various gun-related crimes. The teen was booked into Juvenile Hall.

This seizure marks 68 firearms recovered off the streets by officers in southwest Fresno this year.
