FRESNO COUNTY, California (KSEE/KGPE) – A 32-year-old man serving a 10-year sentence for second-degree robbery escaped Saturday night, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

At around 5:05 p.m., Villamil was seen jogging away from Miramonte Conservation Camp. An officer saw an SUV pull near where he was at and then lost sight of him.

The Office of Correctional Safety, CAL FIRE, the California Highway Patrol and local law enforcement agencies are helping in the search for Villamil.

He is described as a Hispanic man, 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 180 pounds, black hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt and pants.

In November 2014, he began his sentence as a minimum-security inmate. He was scheduled to be released on parole November 2020.
