DUI driver takes turn too fast and crashes. He tested twice the legal limit for alcohol, police say

Madera Police are reminding people to not drink and drive this St. Patrick’s Day weekend after an alleged DUI driver crashed his car.

The crash happened just after 9 a.m. Saturday morning by Knox Street and Almond Avenue.

Police say Juan Estrada was going too fast when trying to make a turn and he lost control, resulting in the crash.

Estrada allegedly had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system and was arrested after failing field sobriety tests.

No injuries were reported.
