Drivers open fire on each other in broad daylight, Clovis Police say

Clovis Police say two drivers opened fire on each other in broad daylight Friday.

It happened in a neighborhood near Shaw and Fowler avenues close to Jefferson Elementary School around 1 p.m., according to police.

When they got on scene, they saw a house at Keats and Whittier avenues had been hit. No one was hurt inside.

They also found six shell casings in the street. Police say the shootings may have started after an argument.

“Witnesses heard shots being fired and two vehicles take off at a high rate of speed,” says Sgt. Craig Aranas, Clovis Police Department.

One of the drivers may have taken off in a white or brown sedan.

Police are asking for your help to find the suspects. You can contact Clovis PD at 559-324-2800.
