A man was arrested Wednesday after he hit at least 14 vehicles from Madera to Fresno with his vehicle, the California Highway Patrol said. Some of his victims captured him.

It started around 8:20 a.m. in Madera when CHP was alerted to a man driving and hitting vehicles, and then driving away.

By the time the pursuit ended in Fresno, CHP said at least 14 vehicles had been hit.

Before officers arrived at the final location, some of the victims had followed him, got him from his vehicle, and restrained him.

Officers arrived and took the man into custody. He is identified as Satinerjit Singh Bali, 50, of Lathrop. He faces charges of hit-and-run and driving under the influence of drugs. Both are misdemeanors.

CHP said the man was on drugs.
