A convenience store employee was arrested Monday after the Fresno Police Department said he stole packets of lottery tickets worth more than $100,000.

On Tuesday, Detective Marty Lucero of the Financial Crimes Unit opened an investigation into the reported theft of California Lottery Tickets by an employee of the Fast & Easy #7 convenience store.

During a three month period, S-Mantej Singh, 37 stole packs of Scratcher Lottery tickets valued at $600-$900 each, after the Lottery machine had been closed out for the day, police said.
