Clovis man found guilty of attempting to murder the mother of his children, DA says

A Clovis man was found guilty Wednesday of attempting to murder the mother of his children, and other domestic violence charges stemming back to May 2015.

The Fresno County District Attorney’s office announced Bernardo Madueno, Jr., 36, of Clovis was convicted of the charges by a Fresno County Superior Court jury.

His guilty charges are attempted murder, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, corporal injury to a spouse, cohabitant, or child’s parent and corporal injury to a child.

Madueno faces a potential sentence of more than 35 years to life in state prison when he is
sentenced on May 10, the DA’s office says. Upon reaching age 60 and after serving 25 years, he will be eligible for release under the Elderly Parole Program
