Cash and cigarettes stolen during armed robbery in Raisin City, deputies searching for suspects

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery in Raisin City.

Deputies were called to Bee’s Market on Bowles ave near Gaines ave around 8:20 p.m. Monday. 

Sgt. Robert Carey says the two male suspects got away with cash and cigarettes.

He says one of the suspects fired off a handgun into the air before entering the store; the second suspect watched the front door as the robbery was occuring. 

The two men then fled the area on foot.

Officials say both men were wearing black masks and gloves; they do not have a vehicle description at this time. 

No one was injured during the robbery.
