Authorities want help identifying man who robbed Riverdale gas station at gunpoint

Authorities are asking for help identifying a man who robbed a Riverdale gas station at gunpoint earlier this month, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 7, a robbery took place inside the store of the Shell gas station located at 3610 W. Mt. Whitney Ave.

A man wearing a Dallas Cowboys beanie, a Los Angeles Lakers sweatsuit, and a black mask covering his mouth and nose, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded cash from the register, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The employee gave him the money as the suspect pointed the gun at several other workers standing behind the counter.

Within 30 seconds, the suspect was in and out.

Nobody was injured.

The suspect is believed to be a Hispanic man in his early 20s. He’s about 5-foot-8 with a thin build.

Anyone who knows the identity or whereabouts of the suspect should contact Sheriff’s Detective Lindsay Milchovich at 559-600-8174 or Crime Stoppers.
