Arrest made in Fresno homicide case. A 22-year-old man is in custody

FRESNO, California (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno Police made an arrest in an August homicide, naming a 22-year-old man as the suspect.

Iziae Lopez is accused of stabbing and killing Christopher Harper, 38. He was found Aug. 9 suffering from a single stab wound at Belmont and San Pablo avenues.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Lopez has been in Fresno County Jail on a probation violation and was charged with murder Wednesday. He is said to have an “extensive and violent” criminal history.

A motive for the homicide isn’t being released.
