Fresno police are investigating an armed robbery of a convenience store clerk Sunday night.

A female employee was working at the time a man in his twenties walked into the 7-Eleven store at Fresno Street and Bullard Avenue around 10:20 p.m.

She gave the suspect a small amount of money, police say, and he left.

He was holding a silver handgun.

Investigators are looking through video footage of the robbery for more information.

No further details were available.

An armed robbery in northwest took place just an hour before officers were called to the 7-Eleven location.

Police say it’s unclear if the two incidents are related.
