38-year-old man stabbed to death in Fresno identified


FRESNO, California – The Fresno Police Department identified the man who was fatally stabbed Friday night.

Christopher Harper, 38, was pronounced dead near Belmont and San Pablo avenues just before 9 p.m.

“Officers attempted life-saving efforts, however, their attempts were met with negative results. Harper was pronounced deceased at the scene,” says Lt. David Madrigal with the Fresno Police Department.

He says there was a disturbance between Harper and an unknown woman that lead up to the stabbing. Another male allegedly was also involved.

“We are asking both of the aforementioned individuals to please come forward. Anyone who has had contact with Harper in the last few days is also being asked to contact the Fresno Police Department,” Madrigal says.
