One thief was shot, and two others were still being sought after a robbery of a person delivering paychecks to farmworkers in rural Fresno County went bad Thursday, the Sheriff’s Office said.
A person delivering payroll to farmerworkers in the area of Floral and Jameson avenues was robbed at gunpoint, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.
They stole the money from the person delivering it, but during their escape, one suspect dropped his gun, the Sheriff’s Office said.
A nearby farmworker picked up the gun, and shot the man in the leg with his own gun, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The other two men suspects got away with the money and are being sought by authorities.
