16-year-old boy arrested for allegedly swinging a knife at a woman, police say

While Visalia Police officers responded to a report of a person hit in the head with a bottle, they had another call of a teen swinging a knife at woman.

The alleged incident happened early Saturday when officers say when they were on a call for an assault, they also received a report of a 16-year-old boy swinging a knife at a woman.

The victim of the first assault did not have life threatening injuries, and the victim of the second assault did not have injuries, police say.

The suspect who allegedly swung the knife was not cooperating with the investigation, and was taken into custody on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest and providing false information to a peace officer.

He was booked at the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Facility, and a weapon was not found.
