Coroner identifies 15-year-old hit and killed in northeast Fresno


FRESNO, California – The Fresno County coroner has identified the 15-year-old hit and killed in northeast Fresno as Lisa Miller of San Diego.

Fresno police said they responded to Willow Ave and Teague Ave for a vehicle vs pedestrian around 2:00 a.m.

When officers arrived they located a 15-year-old female victim lying unconscious in the southbound lanes of Willow Avenue, north of Teague Avenue.

Officers said they immediately attempted life-saving measures, unfortunately, the victim died.

Fresno police said the driver of the vehicle who struck the pedestrian, said the female walked in front of her car going east to west across Willow Ave, the involved driver veered and struck a tree.

Officers said the driver remained at the scene and called 911.

Police said they believe the teen was from a nearby group home. They said was wearing a hospital patients bracelet from Saint Agnes.

Fresno Police say this is the 10th pedestrian fatally this year, compared to 15 at this same time, last year.
