Corcoran residents react to Manson’s death

KERN COUNTY, Calif. – Charles Manson, 83, died of natural causes Sunday evening at a Kern County Hospital, the California Department of Corrections said. 

Manson was a notorious leader of a murderous cult that killed actress Sharon Tate and six others in August 1969. 

Manson was admitted to state prison from Los Angeles County on April 22, 1971, for seven counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.
