Coalinga Regional Medical Center Emergency Department closes

The permanent closure is effective Thursday, May 3

COALINGA, California - The Coalinga Regional Medical Center Emergency Department permanently closed Thursday morning.

The Emergency Department closed at 7:45 a.m. on May 3. A notice posted on the center's Facebook page says to call 911 for emergency services.

The Emergency Department (ED) and hospital were initially scheduled to close June 15th, but a lack in medical staff forced the immediate closure of the ED.

The Fresno County Dept of Public Health says they are aware of the closure and have notified all ambulance providers, public safety agencies and hospitals.
