Clovis Residents Fight for Dog Park in the City

News

FRESNO, Calif. — A group of Clovis residents are working together to bring a dog park to their city.

Clovis currently has no dog parks so a group formed a committee, raised 1,000 signatures and made public comments at Monday’s City Council meeting.

City leaders said a dog park is on a master plan that will be out in spring and summer.

“We currently we have to travel to Fresno if we want to take our dogs off leash and take them to a safe environment,” said Michelle Jenkins, Dog Park Advocate.

The mayor of Clovis says they will need to find the best spot for the park and then find the funding.
