Central Unified breaks ground on construction for a new high school in Northwest Fresno

Central Unified School District broke ground on construction for a new high school.

It will be located on Grantland Avenue next to Koligian stadium in Northwest Fresno. Construction of the approximately 230,000 square foot high school will take two years and include three two-story classroom buildings, an administration building, two gyms, as well as locker rooms, a kitchen, campus mall, ball fields, and tennis and basketball courts.

“It’s going to help alleviate some crowding at our existing campuses, and we’ve been waiting ten years for this school to come to fruition and we are just super excited that it’s finally here,” said Superintendent Andrew Alvarado.

The school is slated to open in August of 2021.
