A Clovis boy battling cancer is reaching out to CBS47 Eyewitness News, specifically to CBS47 On Your Side.
He and his family are trying to get the chance to meet a group of guys known as Dude Perfect.
Dude Perfect is a YouTube group who performs a variety of trick shots, and has more than 70-million subscribers.
They are performing at the Save Mart Center this Saturday night.
6-year-old Meyer Moore loves to watch the group perform on the internet, because he has a tough time playing outside due to his condition.
He and his family were planning to attend the show. But because he cannot be around large crowds of people and germs, his doctor advised him to stay home.
Just last month he was diagnosed with Lukemia. He has undergone two blood transfusions, several rounds of chemotherapy and is currently taking steroids.
His parents say Dude Perfect is a positive distraction.
Kellee Moore says, “Just by watching from the videos that he’s watched, it just seems like a great group of guys. They just seem like positive role models. I know there are tons of boys that love to watch them.”
Moore says next Wednesday her son will undergo more tests to see if the cancer has spread.
They just hope CBS47 Eyewitness News can get the Dude Perfect men to have some sort of meet and greet with their boy.
We’ll bring you an update on the story if he gets to meet his idols.
