The family of a 6-year-old Clovis boy battling cancer reached out to CBS47 On Your Side, to see if we could help set up a meet and greet with “Dude Perfect.”
“Dude Perfect” is a YouTube group who performs a variety of tricks.
They are performing Saturday night at the Save Mart Center in Fresno.
So after we brought you the story last week, “Dude Perfect” made a stop at the boy’s home before their big show.
“It’s kinda crazy,” that’s the only way Meyer Moore could describe it.
He added, “I got to go on their tour bus and did some challenges with them.”
Meyer was diagnosed with Leukemia last month.
He’s had two blood transfusions, several rounds of chemotherapy and is currently on steroids.
Meyer wanted to go to Saturday night’s show but doctors said he couldm’t.
He was so disappointed, the family asked CBS47 On Your Side for help.
Meyer’s mom, Kellee Moore says, “I thought it would be a simple meet and greet before the show, if we were lucky. Then it turned into all of this, thanks to social media and the news.”
Little did we know the group watched our CBS47 story about Meyer as they headed to Fresno.
Kellee says, “Their publicist said all the guys watched it on the way here. They loved the part when he told Carr that he’s not a Raiders fan.”
So besides doing several tricks with Meyer, he will also be featured at the show with a video and on an upcoming episode of the show on YouTube.
Plus the group plans to send him a new iPad, so he can watch all the “Dude Perfect” videos he wants.
Kellee says, “It wouldn’t have been possible without CBS47 On Your Side showing us, thank you.”
CBS47 On Your Side would like to thank the guys from Dude Perfect, you made a little boy’s dream come true.
