Catalytic converter thefts on the rise in Kingsburg

KINGSBURG, California (KSEE/KGPE) – Kingsburg Police are warning residents that criminals are stealing catalytic converters from parked cars in Kingsburg. 

Police said the main targets have been newer model Toyota vehicles. 

Thieves will often crawl under a vehicle and use a sawzall or pipe cutter to remove the part, police say.
