FRESNO, California (KSEE/KGPE) – Caltrans announces upcoming weekend-long closures that will take place over the next eight weekends beginning Friday.

Caltrans said they will close sections of State Route 41 between the O Street off-ramp and State Route 99.

Each weekend-long closure will begin on Friday night at 10 p.m. and will end on Monday morning at 5:00 a.m. closing the roadway for 55 hours at a time.

There will be eight closures in total. Improvements will include: overlaying worn deck surface with a new surface, reconstructing joints, and installing new approaches and pavement delineation for the South Fresno Viaduct Bridge.

These improvements will provide a smoother ride and improve overall safety.

Caltrans crews will also perform several maintenance functions during these closures.
