State Senator Borgeas in the White House for the signing of two Executive Orders

WASHINGTON D.C. (KSEE/KGPE) – Valley State Senator Andreas Borgeas has welcomed a pair of Executive Orders signed by President Donald Trump on Wednesday, which are described as giving small businesses an opportunity to thrive in the face of back-door regulations.

According to the White House, the Executive Orders, “Bringing Guidance out of the Darkness” and “Transparency and Fairness”, are designed to tame the bureaucracy impacting American business.

In a statement, Senator Borgeas’ office described “Bringing Guidance out of the Darkness” as requiring federal agencies to post on one website all guidance, directives, memorandums, and notices of new regulations. “Transparency and Fairness” will protect Americans against secret or unlawful interpretations of regulations or from unfair or unexpected penalties.

“All too often, we see ‘one-size-fits-all’ regulations remain in place for decades without any change or current application,” said Senator Borgeas.

“Giving individuals and businesses the ability to give input about their experience or circumstances is a step in the right direction and may help to foster better regulations.”
