Preliminary 3.7-magnitude earthquake hits south of Hollister

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KRON) – A preliminary 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck south of Hollister Thursday morning.

The earthquake hit around 7:54 a.m., the U.S. Geological Survey said.

It had a recorded depth of 10.1 km.

This is the same area along the San Andreas fault that has been active for the last several days.
