How would you change the La Brea Tar Pits?

California

LOS ANGELES, California (KSEE/KGPE) – Changes are coming to an L.A. based attraction thousands of years in the making, but your help is needed to pick the final design.

The La Brea Tar Pits are considered the source of the richest and most diverse collection of Ice Age fossils. More than 400,000 people visit them every year.

Three teams of architects have been asked re-imagine the space and the associated fossil museum. Some of the ideas include adding a new wing to the side of the museum, adding a second story to the existing building, or moving the mammoths in the park into a new four-story building.

The museum has asked the public which idea should get the green light. You can vote online clicking here. The final design will be selected by the end of 2019.
