LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police have arrested suspects in fatal Southern California collisions on Friday and Saturday, with street-racing possibly behind one of the crashes.

The Los Angeles Times reports that 59-year-old Olivia Enriquez West and husband Leland West were turning left in a Toyota Corolla on Friday when they were fatally struck in a suspected street race involving two Dodge Chargers.

Police said a 25-year-old suspect was hospitalized and would be arrested in the couple’s murder. Her name has not been released.

Los Angeles Police Lt. Meghan Aguilar told KTLA that the crash may have involved street racing.

It’s unclear who was driving the second Charger.

LAPD spokesman Officer Mike Lopez had said 26-year-old Jared Walter Anderson was arrested Saturday in the crash that killed the couple, but he was actually arrested Sunday in a fatal hit-and-run the day before in Hollywood.
