Bulldogs lose Mountain West opener at Air Force

The Fresno State football team may have had two weeks to prepare for Air Force.

In the end, it didn’t matter.

Despite taking a two-point lead into the locker room at halftime (24-22), the Bulldogs were completely outplayed by the Falcons in the second half. Air Force would score 21 unanswered points and go on to beat Fresno State, 43-24.

The Falcons rushed for 340 yards in the game, well above their season average of 287.8.

Fresno State (2-3, 0-1 MW) returns home on Friday to host UNLV on a short week.
