Buchanan High student arrested, accused of making school shooting threat

CLOVIS, California - Clovis police have arrested a Buchanan High School student today for making threats towards students.

Clovis Police and Clovis Unified School Police arrested 18-year-old Kyle Dwelle after receiving a tip late this afternoon.

Dwelle has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on two counts of criminal threats of death or great bodily injury.

The Clovis Police Department and the Clovis Unified School District will have an increased presence on all Clovis campuses for the rest of the week.

Superintendent Eimear O'Farrell encourages anyone who becomes aware of any possible threat to immediately notify law enforcement.
