Fresno Police confirmed the search for Breanna Bradford, 22, ended Sunday when her body was found inside of her car in southeast Fresno. The last person she was seen with, her ex-boyfriend, is currently the main person of interest in her case.

Felix lives near where police eventually found Bradford by 9th and Ventura. She had been reported missing since Friday afternoon. Felix said he knew the car police were looking at was Bradford’s the second he saw it.

“I got a good look at it, [it looked] exactly like how police described it,” he said.

James Gay, 35, is the main person of interest in Bradford’s disappearance and death at this time. Bradford’s family told police that Gay showed up Thursday night Sept. 14, to Bradford’s appartment around 11 p.m. in the 2800 block of West Ashlan Ave.

Police said Gay began arguing with Bradford and it became very heated. A family member in the apartment at the time said the two disappeared after going into her bedroom, according to Fresno Police chief Jerry Dyer.

Gay is currently in Fresno County Jail for carjacking a mail truck Friday around 11:15 a.m.

A known Bulldog gang member out of Sanger, Dyer laid out some of his criminal history at a press conference Sunday.

“He has a history of burglary, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm,” he said. “He was also currently on parole.

Bradford’s family reported her missing after hearing she didn’t shop up for her first day of work at IHOP. Family had been sharing pictures of her on social media all weekend, pleading for her to come hom.

Felix said he feels for the family in their time of loss.

“I know they were looking for her and they were desperate to find her,” he said.

Police are still trying to determine a concrete timeline of exactly when Bradford died. Dyer said she likely passed on Friday.

Police are sifting through surveillance video of businesses near where her car was found.
